Originally a french jeweler with a " Beaux Art school " background , I
immigrated to the US in 1986 and 15 years ago , as a hobby , did start restoring my own wooden boat . 3 years later , it became my main activity .
The break came in 2003 , when I was hired by the " Los Angeles Maritime Museum " as general finishing contractor for their
" Brigantine Youth Program ". This unique multi millions dollar, 4 year project, consisted in the building of two sisterships, 140 feet long, wooden replicas of the magnificent nineteen
century " Brigantine " tallships. During this period, me and my crew performed all aspects of finishing operations including: interior/exterior preparation &
painting, wood sealing, oil varnishing, fiberglassing, metals treatments, waterproofing, windows sealing and decking .............
During the past 15 years we have maintained and/or restored over 200 boats, on water or at our shop in Wilmington, California , including numerous Classic woodies ,
an original Chinese Junk, and more recent fiberglass & steel vessels.
